It's been a very busy two months here in ODP, highlighted by all 10 ODP teams attending Regional Camp in June and July. For the last seven years, Oregon ODP has made huge strides in our Regional Pool numbers and once again, we have added to those numbers with an incredible run at Regional Camp this July.
Oregon finished with 50 Regional Pool Players, down three from last year's 53 Regional Pool Players, but absolutely in the consistent range we are now looking for and expecting in Oregon. The boys' side set an Oregon record with 30 players named to the Regional Pool, while the girls finished with 20. We once again grabbed the third-place ranking in all of Region IV for total Regional Pool Players, behind Cal-South and Cal-North.
Each of these players selected will now travel to California in late July for Regional Pool Holdover Camp, where they will attempt to make the Regional Pool traveling roster for events taking place in November and December.
On behalf of the Oregon ODP staff, we would like to congratulate the following players on being selected to the Region IV ODP Regional Pool in 2010. It's an honor to represent your state at this level and we congratulate you on your selection. We know you'll represent Oregon very well. We also want to recognize the club each player plays for.
Also included are the Regional Rankings from each state in Region IV and the Oregon ODP Chart for the last eight years. As you can see, Oregon has become a powerhouse on the West Coast and continues to produce great numbers.
A reminder to all players born in 1994, 1995 or 1996 — ODP tryouts will take place Aug. 14-15 at the CFC Fields in Salem. Applications, coaches, schedules and all ODP tryout information can be found on the OYSA website under the ODP section. If you have any questions about tryouts or ODP in general, please contact Erik Lyslo at 503-626-4625 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
